Just updated my Apple TV 4K (Third Gen) and Apple TV HD to the most recent version of TVOS and to my surprise when I watch anything on any of my streaming services they all default to PCM 2 Channel Stereo when either of my Yamaha Amps is set to Straight. In other words, Apple TV sends only 2 channel stereo to the amp.

Netflix is TERRIBLE on Apple TV 4k (3rd Gen) On my new Apple TV 4k it appears that Netflix is only playing back at 480p (or worse). Netflix is fine on my smart TV and other apps are fine on Apple TV 4k. And yes, I've done all of the recommended fixes (reinstalling, restarting, unplugging, reseting, etc).

When the Apple TV is outputting 4K 24hz 4:4:4 8bit there will be flickering in darker areas of movies. This happens when showing 4K SDR content and 1080p SDR content when the Apple TV is upscaling. To fix this issue you can disable the automatic frame rate matching and the Apple TV will output 4K 60hz 4:4:4 8bit instead.

Playing 4K Apple TV movies on iMac - Apple Community
4K stream not playing on AppleTV App when the film clearly has a 4K option. I have films in my Apple TV App which have 4K versions on the iTunes Store but when I stream these specific films they only stream in HD (1080p). I have redeemed films in HD in iTunes and Movies Anywhere and AppleTV does not stream the higher 4K resolution for some.
